    SEO: get found on Google

Kreativ scores your site, shows exactly which pages and images need attention, and previews how your site looks in Google and when shared.

    How SEO works in Kreativ

Search engines read three things above all: page titles, page descriptions and image alt texts. The SEO screen under Website collects all of them in one place, so you never have to hunt through individual pages.

At the top you see an SEO score out of 100 with a breakdown of what contributes to it. Changes you make here reach your live site the next time you publish.

    Titles and descriptions per page

The Pages with metadata card shows how many of your pages have a title and description, and lists the ones that are missing them. For each page you write a title and a description with live character counters, and a preview shows exactly how the result looks as a Google search result and as a shared link.

    1. 1

Open Website, go to SEO and find the Pages with metadata card.

    2. 2

Click Add metadata to see the pages that still need attention.

    3. 3

Write a title and description per page. Keep the title short and specific; the description is your one sentence to convince someone to click.

    4. 4

Save each page, and publish your site when you are done so the changes go live.

    Alt text for images

Alt text describes an image in words. It is what search engines read, what image search indexes, and what screen readers speak aloud. The Images with alt text card lists every image on your site that still misses one.

Write what you would tell someone who cannot see the image, for example: Oil painting of a red car under a blue sky.

Site defaults and the share image

The Site defaults card holds a site title, a site description and a default share image. They are used for any page without its own metadata, and for your home page in search results.

The share image is what appears when someone shares your site on social media or in a chat. By default Kreativ uses the largest image on each page automatically; set your own for full control. An image of 1200 by 630 pixels works best.

    Favicon

The favicon is the small icon in the browser tab. Under Website, open Favicon and upload any image; Kreativ crops and resizes it automatically. Your live site uses the new icon right away.
